Yesterday I learned that there was one case of swine flu in the state of Indiana. Today it was released that this case was a student at Notre Dame University who stayed home for a few days because he was not feeling well. Yeah, that is 6 miles from here. If there is one confirmed case how much would you like to bet that there are a dozen more that have not been reported? Glad I live here.
The Swine Flu in Michiana
I don’t want to die this way
I have to wonder how he survived, or IF he did…
plumbing
So, the chain inside the back of our toilet broke and the jury rigged job set up to get by until I went tot he store to replace it made the toilet run on which flooded the basement. At the same time someone broke the pipe going to the spigot for the tub making it impossible to bath or shower. Both got fixed today. Oh, yesterday I got stung on the behind by a wasp… twice. Fun, fun.
Web hosting
A while ago I had my web provider go out of business. He really fixed me up though, he had the people who are taking over his clients take care of me for free (hey, it’s a family thing) but most people don’t have that luxury. In fact a lot of times you don’t even have to have your provider go out of business to have problems, you could be a client of some company and have them just raise your rates. If you are looking for a new web hosting company or if you are just now starting your own website and want to find a good host then there is a website that can do you a good deal of help. They have lots and lots of choices where they can send you to web hosting companies that provide unlimited hosting and one free domain for $10 a month or less. I use a Linux computer so if I were to use this I would probably go to the Unix based hosting service which is as cheap as $4.95 a month! If you are running a website that is making money for you, as this site does for me, then $4.95 a month is a pretty cheap price to pay for dependable good service that does not limit you and what your site can accomplish.
A little Earth Day history
For those of you who do not know, Earth Day was the brain child of the hippie guru Ira “the Unicorn” Einhorn. Who is most famous for murdering his former girlfriend Holly Maddux, whom he then stuffed in a trunk and put in his closet (not exactly the best guy in cover-ups) He was arrested months later when the stench of her corpse alerted neighbors who called the police. He was able to arrange bail because he had a really good lawyer. That would be, um, wait, gee it was Arlen Spector, who is nowadays the so called Republican Senator from Pennsylvania. Einhorn jumped bail and fled to Europe where he lived for several years until he was caught by the French police. After a lengthy extradition process he was brought back to Pennsylvania where he stood trial and blamed the murder on… wait for it…. The CIA. The jury deliberated less than two hours before convicting him and sending him to prison for the rest of his life where he is to this day. Aren’t you happy? Hey, go out and chop down a tree today in honor of Ira “The Unicorn Killer” Einhorn, co-founder of Earth day!
Ever wonder if you are on the wrong side?
I have, on occasion, wondered if I am on the wrong side of things. If I have been mislead politically. Then I see stuff like this and I am steadfastly reaffirmed in my conservative beliefs. I will make no comment on this save one, because it speaks volumes for itself about the beliefs of those on the left. The one comment I will make? By posting it here I have doubled the viewership from it’s original broadcast on Keith Olbermann’s show.
