The all knowing “messiah” has determined it

Filed under: oppinions — Kevin @ 9:25 pm

Well after firing the board of a private corporation and having his minions state that they should be able to set the salaries and wages of private corporations (plus dismiss boards and set their own people on the new boards of private corporations) President Barak “the messiah” Obama has decided that GM and Chrysler need go into bankruptcy. Well well, I am so glad that a man who has never run a business (or even genuinely worked for one) can be so wise. In fact, I do not disagree with him. I just wish that he and his predecessor would have come to this conclusion before they sank tens of billions of OUR dollars into GM. Some of us were screaming it 5 months ago.

Get out your bikes

Filed under: sponsored — Kevin @ 9:49 am

Guess what? It’s spring! A couple weeks ago I got some of our kids bicycles down from the garage so they could ride them around. I have noticed that one of my kids bikes is not in the greatest shape and we really should get her a new one. I recently read an article about a company that I know of that sells really good bikes for really cheap prices. Check out this article When John Vanhara was in the market for a new beach cruiser, one just wasn’t enough. He bought 150 of the bikes and started a business. “I was just looking to get an inexpensive bike myself,” said Vanhara, who went on to found XYZ Bikes in Torrance. “It was cheaper to buy 150.” Cheaper per bike, that is. Unable to find just one inexpensive bike that suited him online or in stores, Vanhara went straight to the manufacturer to buy in bulk and save a bundle. He rented a self-storage unit, unloaded all 150 beach cruisers himself, put up a Web site and sold every bike within a month, except for the one he kept for himself. That was in 2006. Little more than a year and a half later, XYZ’s monthly sales have doubled to 300 beach cruisers per month. His typical bike retails for about $100. Get yourself a great beach cruiser or beach cruiser accessories. There are a lot of good things you can get and they even have a coupon to get them cheaper. It’s just for people who read the blogs writing about them. Take this Coupon code: 5OFFXPP. enter it in when you check out on their website. The coupon is valid for 2 months only and customers will get an additional $5. They have the best prices for beach cruiser bikes. Many models around $100 only! Shipping in California is about $20. Nationwide shipping $25-$45. As for me, This sounds like a pretty good deal and I am going to look into getting it for my own kids. If they had some multi-speed ones I would be real interested in those as well, but the idea of getting a good bike for that little money makes me think that it is the best route to take. That way if something happens to it, like if it gets wrecked or stolen, then I am not out a whole bunch of money. My wife bought me a real nice looking 21 speed bike from a super store last year and I have had lots of problems with it and it cost quite a bit mroe money than these do. Maybe I would have been better off, getting one of these!

library additions

Filed under: General — Kevin @ 9:53 pm

I am going to visit a friend soon and spend some time with he and his family. He told me to make sure that I have some room in my car for me to take back some books as he is thinning out his library. Then he told me a couple days ago that it was going to be, like, almost 200 books. “We’re gonna need a bigger bookshelf“.

Car work

Filed under: life — Kevin @ 9:27 pm

Tonight I took the front bumper off of my wife’s car. It had gotten cracked earlier in the year from three of us pulling in too far in the garage and catching it on the lawn mower deck. Then April hit a snow bank in February and I guess Saturday she pulled too far in to a parking space and caught it on the concrete curb thingy. Now it is broke all the way through on the bottom side so I took it off (the upper part which is 3/4 of the substance of it is still fine) and tomorrow I will try and patch it with fiberglass and then sand it and try to paint it to match. If that does not work I guess I will be looking at junk yards for a replacement. The problem is that I was at the yard of a friend of mine the other day and it would seem that every Neon on the lot had front end damage so finding a good front bumper is not going to be easy.

Custom men’s clothing

Filed under: sponsored — Kevin @ 6:08 pm

I really like a nice set of clothes. I have several suits and I like to look good in them. At the same time I am not very well off in the financial department, so I can’t afford to be paying top dollar for my clothes. This is where MONIKER could be very helpful. They are a group that provides custom men’s clothing at a much cheaper rate than you would pay for. And it is pretty simple, You choose a shirt, customize it, choose your fabrics, put in your measurements, and make your order. That’s it!
