Yesterday I was going through the gun locker in my basement, the girls wanted to see all the guns that are kept in it (including their little Crickett .22) I noticed something while I was going through them, since the scope that I had on my shotgun broke I no longer have ANY optical enhancements for any of my guns! I was given an ajustable bipod for my Mauser 8mm but without the scope that is kind of pointless. So I need to get a scope, at least for my riffle.
The first place I want to check out is opticsplanet because they have a HUGE selection of just about everything you can imagine for optics. They have golf range finders, riffle scopes like I want, or even night vision scopes (hmm, me with night vision, that’s almost frightening). When you aren’t using your optical gear they even have pelican cases to keep your gear safe and dry. Check out this selection, it sure beats the crap you will find down at Wal-mart.

Sooooo PayPerPost has devised this new thing called Real Rank to show their advertisers just how good of a blog it is that they will be advertising on. It has it’s pluses but I think it also has it’s minuses. I am going to give them some time to work out the bugs. At least one big blog guru has already sounded the death knell for it, but I hope they work it out. You see they wanted to come up with something to use other than Google’s “page rank” system which is totally flawed and run by the link nazis at Google. Google has shown already just how willing they are to be complete jerk wads by taking retaliation against anyone who signs up for real rank by instantly dropping them to a google PR of 0 (this is bad because advertisers are nearly completely addicted to letting google tell them how much traffic a blog gets by dictating the PR) I think someone aught to sue Google for being such complete rectums. This does have one great advantage for some of us (at least for a while) I already had a Google PR of 0 so it didn’t affect my blog at all (you see google doesn’t care that I have the enormous, gigantic, totally huge number of about 20 people who read my blog, they just care if your blog is linked to other sites and I only have about 6 links from other sites to my blog). So, the retaliation that Google is taking on bloggers who participate in PPP’s real rank (which is kind of like when terrorists kill civilians to retaliate against the US military making a strike on them… OK I dramatizing but you get the point) anyway, this retaliation has not affected me and I able to get some decent advertisment opportunities because my real rank is not so crappy as my page rank was. At the same time, those bloggers who used to have good google PR because they have, like 5,000 readers and a brazillion links to their blogs, they are suddenly right down there with me on their google PR. In the end I hope that PPP works out the kinks in real rank and I hope the evil directors at Google who chose to beat up on innocent bloggers choke on their lunch.

I really have an appreciation of Johnny Depp’s acting abilities. He has been in such a wide variety of parts. He can’t just be pidgeonholed into one genre or character. He has done comedy, drama, horror, everything. My two favorite parts he played were in Donny Brasco in the lead role, where he is playing an undercover agent who infiltrates the Mob. I loved when he wouldn’t take off his boots (which would have revealed his hidden tape recorder) when he and some mobsters go to a Japonise resturant because “The Japs killed my father in the war.” and it ends up with a big fight and the mobsters actually beat up this resturant owner who is taking offense that Brasco won’t remove his shoes. But I also loved Depp in Benny & Joon where he played a mentally handicapped guy. I thought it was just classic when he was teaching Joon to make grilled cheese sandwiches with an Iron. That was so cool. I have always wanted to emulate that but never dared to because I figured I would just wreck the Iron. But I think that is actually my favorite part of his films. In case you haven’t heard, Depp is in a new Tim Burton movie called “Sweeney Todd the demon barber of Fleet Street”. Believe it or not, it is a musical but it has a definate bit of Edward Scissorhands flavor to it (but don’t all of Burton’s films?). But we shouldn’t be surprised that it’s a musical, before Depp entered acting he was in a rock band. If you haven’t heard of The new movie yet you can visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site. I read an article recently that pointed out that, while Hillary might be the frontrunner among the democrats she loses when compared to any of the frontrunner Republicans. I find this interesting. I have been saying for months that She cannot win an election because consistently 48% of the country says they wouldn’t vote for her under any circumstances. Essentially, half the country despises her. Yes, she does have a devout following among the far left but they are really only a sizable minority. More people hate her than love her. She would have to win over, virtually every single person who is ambivolant towards her and not lose any to the opposition. In essence she can’t win… Unless… Unless the Republicans end up choosing a “liberal” as their nominee and a large number of the base sits the election out. But even then, with Rudy or another liberal Republican running, they will pull in a sizable enough portion of the independants and moderate Democrats that, again, she loses. So the nearly self proclaimed President Elect may be finding out that there is a lot more to presidential politics than name recognition and a lot of money. By the way, she sank in the polls 11 percent in one month against her cheif rival for the Democratic nomination, Barak Obama. Hmm.

I don’t know how it happened but it is almost Christmas and I just got used to the idea that it isn’t summer any longer. We don’t have that long until we are expected to have presents under the tree. With the ecenomic outlook the way it is, most people need to save money and that is just what you can do with couponchief promo codes. You can go to your favorite stores like Walmart and office depot and get the things that you were probably thinking about buying anyway but save money on them.
